Muslims and anti-war voices hold vigils and point to Iraq

Public gatherings also took place at Glasgow's George Square and on The Mound in Edinburgh. Before a gathering of nearly 200 people in Glasgow, Osama Saeed, an MAB Scottish spokesman, accused Mr Blair of attempting to shift blame for the attacks onto the Muslim community.
Rosie Kane, the Scottish Socialist Glasgow MSP, and Robina Qureshi, director of Positive Action in Housing, were among the other speakers.
They were joined by Maxine Gentle, the teenage sister of Gordon, the British soldier killed in Basra last year, and the Rev John Mann, who spoke at his funeral, in blaming Mr Blair and the war on Iraq for the London bombings.
Ms Kane said it was vital that communities stood shoulder to shoulder to oppose any Islamophobia triggered by the attacks.
